I'm Julia Assis (she/her), a photographer originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I've been passionate about photography and video since I was a child, and I started taking pictures seriously after getting my BA in Film in 2009.

In 2014, I traveled to New York City to study music photography at the International Center of Photography. This experience was a turning point in my career, and it helped me to develop my own unique style of photography.

In 2016, I released my first book, "Rio, eu tatuo / I tattoo Rio." This book is a collection of my photographs that capture the beauty and vibrancy of my hometown.

​I'm passionate about capturing the beauty of the world around me, and I love to tell stories through my images. I believe that photography can connect ais a powerful tool that can be used to connect with people and to make a difference in the world.

Currently, I'm working as the photographer for Donald Pliner NYC. I've also worked with a wide range of clients, including VOGUE, Burger King, Budweiser, GQ, Natura, and Amazon Music. I've also shot at some of the biggest events in the world, such as Comic Con XP, Rock in Rio, and the VOGUE Ball.
